Ministry ofElijah’s Message |
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of Elohim is preached, and every man presseth into it. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. Luke 16:16-17
The word "law" in the New Testament comes from the Greek word nomos, law (through the idea of prescriptive usage), general (regulation), special (of Moses [including the volume]; also of the Gospel), or figurative (a principle) :- law. {Strong’s}
When it says "law" in the New Testament it is speaking of the whole Torah and not just the Ten Commandments, which are only mentioned three times in Scripture: And he was there with Yahweh forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commands. Exodus 34:28 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. Deut. 4:13 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Yahweh spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and Yahweh gave them unto me. Deut. 10:4
When Christ talked to the people did He teach from the New Testament? Of course not! It wasn’t written until long after His ascension. The "law" of the New Testament is the "law of Moses", that is the first five books of the Torah. The word "Torah" means "the teachings". When Christ gave the beatitudes He was giving them a reiteration of Torah because the Pharisees had distorted the "teachings" so much. The statutes, judgements and commandments of the Torah are not Moses’ law but the teachings of Yahweh given to us through Moses but it was Christ and Him crucified that gave them to Moses. When we study these teaching we learn more and more about the true nature of our Great and Mighty Creator.
Christ came to our world to represent the character of Elohim as it is represented in His holy law; for His law is a transcript of His character. Christ was both the law and the gospel. The angel that proclaims the everlasting gospel proclaims the law of Elohim; for the gospel of salvation brings men to obedience of the law, whereby their characters are formed after the divine similitude. {2SM 106.2}
The Ten Commandments [Exod. 20:8] tell us the keep the Sabbath holy [set-apart]. The seventh-day Sabbath is the first of Yahweh’s special Sabbaths that we are to keep [Lev. 23:1-44]. How do the feasts of Yahweh, His Appointed Times, effect us and why should we observe them? "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1 Peter 2:9
This life is only a prerequisite for the New Kingdom, depending on the choices made, as to whether or not we would be trustworthy in a perfect world. Only if we trust in the Almighty King of the Universe and know that His ways are just, perfect and good, and come to love His ways, can we be safe to have in the New Kingdom. Only if we exalt the Most High above self, and our carnal needs, will we become part of His chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people.
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 1 Cor. 6:3. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His throne. Rev. 3:21
We are to become the sons and daughters of the Most High. In His New Kingdom, is it realistic to think that there will be no corporate worship? This would not only be unrealistic but also un–Biblical, as well.
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, Yahweh of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith Yahweh will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. Zech. 14:16-19 When will all nations come up against Jerusalem? [Rev. 11:7-10] When will the plagues come? [Rev. 16:2-21] Just before our Blessed Messiah returns, which makes this prophesy an end time event. If it is an end time event then those that do not keep the Feasts of Yahweh will not receive the seal of Yahweh and will be slaughtered. [Ezek. 9:1-8].
The warfare against Elohim's law, which was begun in heaven, will be continued until the end of time. Every man will be tested. Obedience or disobedience is the question to be decided by the whole world. All will be called to choose between the law of Elohim and the laws of men. Here the dividing line will be drawn. There will be but two classes. Every character will be fully developed; and all will show whether they have chosen the side of loyalty or that of rebellion. {DA 763.3}
Then the end will come. Elohim will vindicate His law and deliver His people. Satan and all who have joined him in rebellion will be cut off. Sin and sinners will perish, root and branch, (Mal. 4:1),--Satan the root, and his followers the branches. The word will be fulfilled to the prince of evil, "Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of Elohim; . . . I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. . . . Thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more." Then "the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be;" "they shall be as though they had not been." Ezek. 28:6-19; Ps. 37:10; Obadiah 16. {DA 763.4}
This is not an act of arbitrary power on the part of Elohim. The rejecters of His mercy reap that which they have sown. Elohim is the fountain of life; and when one chooses the service of sin, he separates from Elohim, and thus cuts himself off from life. He is "alienated from the life of Elohim." Christ says, "All they that hate Me love death." Eph. 4:18; Prov. 8:36. Elohim gives them existence for a time that they may develop their character and reveal their principles. This accomplished, they receive the results of their own choice. By a life of rebellion, Satan and all who unite with him place themselves so out of harmony with Elohim that His very presence is to them a consuming fire. The glory of Him who is love will destroy them. {DA 764.1}
The inquiry of everyone should be, "Whose am I? To whom do I owe allegiance? Is my heart renewed? Is my soul reformed? Are my sins forgiven? Will they be blotted out when the time of refreshing shall come?" . . . {3SM 419.4}
Shall not the people of Elohim more frequently have holy convocations in which to thank Elohim for His rich blessings? {AH 476.1}
[These are the Feasts of Yahweh without the sacrifices and offerings that the Lamb of Yah fulfilled on the cross. This is part of His law, teachings that we should ‘remember’ and ‘keep’.]
[1] And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying, [2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yahweh, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. [3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of Yahweh in all your dwellings. [He starts with and continues with the other feasts that make up His mo~ed.]
[4] These are the feasts of Yahweh, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. [5] In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is Yahweh's passover. [6] And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto Yahweh: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. [7] In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. [8] …the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before Yahweh, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your Elohim: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; [the word "Pentecost" means fifty] And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am Yahweh your Elohim.
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. Ye shall do no servile work therein.
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying, Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before Yahweh your Elohim. For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto Yahweh. On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. … on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein. These are the feasts of Yahweh, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations,
Beside the sabbaths of Yahweh, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which ye give unto Yahweh. Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto Yahweh seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before Yahweh your Elohim seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto Yahweh seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Yahweh your Elohim. And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of Yahweh. Leviticus 23:1-44
If ye love me, keep My commandments. John 14:15
And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if Yahweh be Elohim, follow Him: but if Baal, then follow him.
And the people answered him not a word.
1 Kings 18:21
Who’s side are you on? Won’t you ask the Almighty Father to help you keep His teachings (law) as given to Moses through our Righteous Redeemer?
Most Christians draw a line between the column of the Ten Commandments and the other two categories of His law. But the Early Church, as taught to them through the Apostles, rightly drew a line of distinction between the column of His Ordinances [of the Altar] and the rest of His Law. Because the Ten Commandments or 10 Words, as they are on the Tablets of Stone, are a summary of His Statutes and Judgments, which all together are a revelation of His character. The child that trusts his parent obeys without question because he knows every instruction, every rule is given for his benefit out of the love of his parent. So it is with every true child of Elohim. "My little children, I write this to you, so that you do not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Intercessor with the Father, Yahushua Messiah, a righteous One. And He Himself is an atoning offering for our sins, and not for ours only but also for all the world. And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands. The one who says," I know Him," and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked."
