Ministry ofElijah’s Message |
A young man fell in love with a beautiful young woman, and ask her to marry him. After the wedding party was over the young groom went to collect his new bride from her dressing room. When he announced that he had come to collect his new bride one of her six sisters came out to meet him. He asked where his new bride was and her sister answered, "I'm going home with you instead of my sister." The young groom replied, "But I married your sister and I only want my bride." The girl replied, "We’re all sisters aren’t we? Does it matter which one of the seven you take?"
[*The original names and/or titles have been restored. Ps. 68:4 tells us the true name of our Heavenly Father. And His Son was born a Jew in a Jewish community. Does it make sense that He would have a Greek [which they hated] name? No! Yahweh is our Ever Existing Heavenly Father. Yahushua is His Only-begotten Son, our Righteous Redeemer, who came in His Father’s name, Yah…u-shua = Yah Will Save. In the World Book Encyclopedia we are told that " ‘the LORD’ means Baal." The word ‘God’, like the other titles or names most often used in Christianity is pagan in origin and brought into Christianity by the Papacy, beast of Rev. 13. Elohim (Mighty Ones, see Gen. 1:26) is put back where the false title ‘God’ is used. In respect of the Most High, the true names, as close as is known today, will replace the false. In Ex. 23:13 we are told not to even mention the name of other mighty ones. And we are told to come out of false doctrine and practices, Rev. 18:4]
It may not matter to you which of the seven days of the week you worship on or maybe even if you worship at all. But does it matter to the Sovereign Creator? The young man chose one woman, the Creator had one chosen people:
"And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be My people, and I will be your Elohim (God)." [Ezekiel 36:28]
The young man could have had his pick of thousands of young women, Yahveh, the Almighty, could have picked any people to be His chosen:
"…for thou art an holy people unto Yahveh thy Elohim, and Yahveh hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto Himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth." Deut. 14:2
"Blessed is the nation whose Elohim is Yahveh: and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance." Psalm 33:12
"Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you." [John 15:16]
"If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." [John 15:19]
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light:" [1 Peter 2:9]
Why were we ‘chosen’? "…that ye should shew forth the praises of Him!" Sounds as if we are called to be the priests of His New Kingdom to "shew forth the praises of Him" before all the other worlds, i.e., "Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds; [Hebrews 1:2} and, "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of Elohim. [Hebrews 11:3] Is it because of our goodness? "Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations Yahveh thy Elohim doth drive them out from before thee, and that He may perform the word which Yahveh sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Understand therefore, that Yahveh thy Elohim giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people. Deut. 9:5-6
So why is the Seventh-day more important than any other day of the week?
"And Elohim blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which Elohim created and made". [Genesis 2:3]
"Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily My Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Yahweh that doth sanctify you." [Exodus 31:13]
" It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was refreshed". [Exodus 31:17]
"Moreover also I gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am Yahweh that sanctify them. [Ezekiel 20:12]
"And hallow My Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that ye may know that I am Yahweh your Elohim. [Ezekiel 20:20]
This is a reiteration of a conversation between Pastor Webster [a friend of H.M.S. Richards Sr.] and the non-believing Mr. Jones, called Infidel. This non-believer was proud of himself for being able to confound and confuse every minister that he had invited to his home, sending them away disillusioned. He began his attack on Pastor Webster by saying that the Ten Commandments were junk and that any child could do a better job of writing them. The following is Pastor Webster’s response; names have been changed to accommodate present truth:
Webster: To begin with, Inspiration says that this law is spiritual. So spiritual that it
discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart. So comprehensive, yet so closely
related are the individual commandments, so interlocked, one with the other that
if we offend in one point we are guilty of breaking all.
Here we have it in Romans 7:12,
“The law is holy, the commandment is holy and just and good”. The law is
spiritual. And James 2:10, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet
offend in one point, he is guilty of all”.
Now let’s start with the forth commandment. I am going to show you that anyone
that breaks one of the commandments is guilty of all the commandments. Exodus
20:8-11 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shall you labor, and do
all your work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yahuah your Elohim: in it you
shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor
your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates: For
in six days Yahuah (that’s His name, because that what it is in the original Hebrew) made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yahuah blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it”. Now, if a person works on the seventh day of the week, has he broken the forth commandment?
Infidel
Yes, I suppose he has.
Webster
The commandment says the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yahuah your Elohim, it is
His day, not ours, not mans. If a person takes for himself what belongs to another, what’s he doing? He’s stealing. He not only broke the forth commandment, but he broke the eighth commandment. And if he steals, he always has an intense, illegitimate desire
for the thing he steals that’s coveting, breaking the tenth commandment.
When a man puts himself so entirely first, so fully before Elohim as to covet what
belongs to Elohim and steal from Him, why, what other commandment has he broken?
Infidel
Well, I suppose the first one, “thou shalt have no other gods before me”. Yes, but man is not a god. Do you suppose that we could get such absurd things as that from the Bible?
Webster
Well, he has put himself first, what can a man do but put himself in the place
of Elohim if he puts himself above Elohim and takes what belongs to Elohim, and steals
from Elohim? Man is called a god in the Bible, a false god, and an idol. “Whose god
is their belly”, we read in Philippians 3; 19. Even make their stomach an idol. Some people. Some have the almighty dollar as their god. Many a man makes an
idol of himself, so he has broken the second commandment.
Infidel (action)
(this man was really getting disturbed now, as he sat there moving around in his chair.)
Webster
Two more commandments broken now, in breaking the Sabbath, and that makes five
already.
Now, the name of Elohim is in the forth commandment. The name Yahuah is there as the
Creator of the heavens and the earth. When we treat His commandments in such a
reckless vain way, are we not using His name in vain? What does the third
commandment say?, “thou shalt not take the name of Yahuah your Elohim in vain”.
Well, this commandment forbids more than outspoken oaths, any vain use of the name of Elohim would destroy our reverence for Him.
That’s not all, many persons say it makes no difference which day you keep, just so long as you keep one holy. Elohim has signed His own name to this commandment, we might say, and He says “the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yahuah your Elohim”. Is not that a vain use of the commandment, vain use of the name of Elohim?
Again if an individual has not told the truth about it, what other commandment
has he broken? Elohim says the seventh day! Some people say it makes no difference,
then they have broken that other commandment, “thou shalt not bear false
witness.
And another commandment has been broken when breaking this one. In
regard to this saying that it makes no difference which day one keeps, I’d want
to suggest one or two other thoughts on that point. It says that “Elohim rested” on
that day, His resting and blessing it, make it the Sabbath. If all the people in
the world keep some other day that wouldn’t make it the Sabbath. It takes the
personal presence of Elohim in the Sabbath to make it holy.
“And Elohim blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He
had rested from all His work which Elohim created and made.” Genesis 2:3
He put His presence in that day, Elohim’s own presence. So we may not actually discern the difference between the seventh and the first day of the week, the fact that Elohim’s presence is in it, and He says it is, is the important thing.
So we have done something very serious here. Elohim is our Father, and if we haven’t honored Him, then we are breaking the fifth commandment. In 2 Cor.6:17-18, Elohim says I will receive you and will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters. So you see how serious this is, very serious indeed.
We’ve broken eight commandment now, if we break this one fourth commandment. This is very clear.
But my friend we are not finished yet. There are two more commandments, and I want to first refer you to three or four other texts. In Romans 6:23, we read the wages of sin is death. Ezek. 18:4, the soul that sinneth it shall die. 1John 3:4, Sin is the transgression of the law. Now, this law the “Ten commandments” is a law that points out sin, and without which we could not tell what sin is. In this wholesale transgression of Elohim’s law we’ve been speaking of, what is the sinner bringing upon himself? What’s he doing to
himself?
Infidel
Why, I suppose he is killing himself.
Webster
Then what commandment is he breaking?
Infidel
He’s breaking the sixth. But you can’t make the commandment against adultery fit here. I know you can’t do that!
Webster
Well, we’ll see. Turn to Isa. 54:5, Your Maker is your Husband, Yahuah of hosts
is His name, your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel. Notice, Elohim is the Husband of
all whom He has made. Israel backslid from Elohim, by uniting with the nations
around her. Of her Elohim says, surely as a wife treacherously departs from her
husband, so have you dealt treacherously with Me. Elohim says that she also had
played the harlot and committed adultery, Jeremiah the third chapter.
And in James 4:4, we read: you adulterers and adulteress, know not that the
friendship of the world is enmity with Elohim? Now this spiritual adultery is
forbidden by the seventh commandment just as truly as the carnal natural form of
breaking the law. And as the law is spiritual, it detects the sin and the thoughts of the heart. Therefore in the transgression of the forth commandment the seventh is broken as truly as are the other nine.
Webster
I would like to carry my reasons right on to a conclusion. And here is my
argument in a nut shell! I’d like to ask you, Mr. Jones, a few questions. Now to
sum it up in a few sentences, first how can a man take Elohim’s Sabbath for his own
selfish use without stealing? And thus breaking the seventh as well as the
fourth? Can he steal a thing, without first coveting it, breaking the tenth? How
can he, this way, put him self first, even before Elohim without putting another idol before Yahuah, forbidden in the first commandment? How can he make such an idol of
himself without breaking the second commandment? How can he so heedlessly and
vainly use the commandment in which Elohim has placed His name, without taking that
name in vain? Third commandment! How can he show such disrespect to his heavenly
Father without breaking the fifth commandment? How can he commit such sins when
Elohim has said that the sure result of sin is death, without being guilty of
knowingly and deliberately taking his own life? Sixth commandment! How can a
person do all this and by his actions and words of self justification say that
his course is all right, and he is telling the truth? Ninth commandment. And
last, how can he go so completely away from his spiritual spouse to join with a
sinful world, living with the world as with a loving congenial companion without
being guilty of adultery? Seventh commandment! As Elohim said to ancient Israel
when doing the same thing.
Can you now think that the forth commandment is of no consequence, that it makes no difference which day we keep, really? Is it not the very heart of the law of Elohim, the greatest of all the commandments? If it is possible that one can be greater than another. friend, discarding and disregarding of His day involves a violation of every commandment of the Decalogue . And does not the substitution of another day in its place without Elohim’s direction to do so, add greater to the guilt of the transgressor? How would you like it if someone should steal your automobile before your very eyes, and instead give you an old broken down rattle trap of a car, and say, it was just as good?
Infidel (the poor man was nervously shifting in his seat, speechless)
Webster
Now for some questions on the law as a whole. With all candor and honesty sir, I
ask you, did you ever see any other law so brief, so comprehensive, with each
section, or commandment complete in itself, yet the whole is entirely one, each
commandment so related to others that it is impossible to transgress one without
transgressing every other one in the same act? I’d like to ask you, where did
Moses get that law? Can you tell? Do you think any human mind ever could have
devised it? Can you write as good a law?
Infidel
Well, Mr. Webster, I have to admit that if what you have said is true I have been beaten by you. I’ll have to do some serious study on this.
Do you think He is serious about His day of worship?
"Be not deceived; Elohim is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." [Galatians 6:7]
Elohim’s set-apart law is so wise, so vast, so spiritual that it convicts of every sin that man ever commits outwardly and inwardly, sins of action, sins of thoughts, sins of doubt, it’s a spiritual law.
There’s only one hope for a sinner, one who has broken Elohim’s law, and breaking one means breaking all; he can find refuge and forgiveness only in the good news of Yahshua haMachiah. Yahshua died to pay the penalty for our sins, for our breaking of His set-apart, perfect spiritual law. And we can come to Him and find forgiveness.
We can not obey that perfect, set-apart, spiritual law in our own strength. No man can. Therefore every person in the world is convicted of sin by this set-apart spiritual law of Elohim.
Come to Elohim and ask Him to forgive you in Yahshua’s name and put the very Set-apart Spirit in your heart so you will live the set-apart principals of Elohim’s law, after you are born again and a true child of Elohim and He will lead you step by step to grow in grace and become more and more like the Saviour as you go on your pathway toward heaven.
Then the mind of Messiah Himself will be in you. Let this mind also be in you which was in Yahshua Messiah. And He said, “ O Yahuah, Thy law is within my heart. I delight to do Thy will, O, my Elohim.
And by Elohim’s favor through Ruach haQodesh you may have this kind of life in your life too.
